LeoVegas Review: Still a Strong Mobile Casino, No Longer a Special One
LeoVegas once led UK casinos on mobile. We checked its app listing, no-wagering spins, 2,900-slot lobby, MGM ownership and past UKGC fine to see what that reputation is worth now.
Score 7.6 out of 107.6/10
Best forUK players who want a big slot lobby and a polished phone app
LeoVegas built its name on phones before most UK casinos had a decent app, and it still shouts about it. The more useful question in 2026 is whether being first on mobile still counts for anything, now that every rival has caught up and the regulator has capped the old bonus tricks.
Our answer: it counts for polish and for a big slot lobby, less for value. LeoVegas is a good UK casino, not a standout one. As ever, gambling is entertainment with a built-in house edge, never a source of income.
What the app tells you
The UK App Store listing is the thing we can check directly. It shows a 4.42 average from 249 UK ratings, version 17.1.2 released on 4 November 2026, and a download of roughly 211 MB. That rating count is small, and 4.42 sits below FanDuel's 4.77 in the US, so do not read the listing as proof of a category-leading app. It is simply a healthy, actively maintained one.
LeoVegas's own App Store art claims more than 2,900 slots.
That "over 2,900 slots" line is the operator's, not an audit. It is still a big number, and the practical effect is that the lobby leans on search and filters rather than browsing.
Who owns it, and what the regulator said
LeoVegas was founded in Stockholm in 2011 by Gustaf Hagman and Robin Ramm-Ericson. MGM Resorts bought it after a 2022 offer worth about $607 million, so the brand now sits inside a very large US group. It holds a Malta licence for the wider group and is regulated in Britain by the UK Gambling Commission.
The record is not spotless. Wikipedia's account of a £600,000 Gambling Commission penalty lists 41 misleading adverts and failures with self-excluded customers: money not returned to 11,205 people, and marketing sent to 1,894 who had opted out. That was a past failing and the tools have changed, but we weigh it. A casino that mishandled self-exclusion once earns a closer look at its safer gambling settings today.
Offers after the bonus crackdown
The welcome package is free spins with no wagering attached, per Racing Post, and the spins expire if unused within three days. That is a better structure than the bonus-money offers of a few years ago. Sigma notes the Commission now caps bonus wagering at 10x, which drags the whole market toward fairer terms. Reviewers also report that slots count fully toward wagering while table games do not.
Whatever the headline says, check the live terms before depositing. Offers change often, and one weak clause can turn a nice-looking deal into a dull one.

Jackpots and live tables
LeoJackpot is the in-house network, and the store art shows its Mega prize passing £26 million. It is worth knowing how these work: the pot is real, but the odds of hitting it are tiny, and slots that feed a jackpot usually pay back less on small wins to fund it.
The live casino has its own tab in the app, with roulette, blackjack and game shows. Live tables are where a phone-first design matters, since video has to fit a small screen without hiding the betting controls.

Cashier
Reported withdrawal speeds disagree. Gambling.com says debit card and mobile wallet payouts can take up to three business days and bank transfers up to five. Casino.org says the operator states processing of 24 hours or less. Both can be true: the first figure covers the whole journey, the second only the casino's internal review. Expect e-wallets to be quicker than cards.
Safer gambling, tested against the history
Given the penalty above, we looked for the controls a UK player should be able to reach in a few taps: deposit limits, time-outs, reality checks and self-exclusion. The regulator expects licensed operators to offer all of them, and we did not test each one. What we cannot judge from a listing is how quickly a limit takes effect or how easy a cooling-off period is to cancel. Set limits on day one and write down the amount, so a bad evening cannot talk you out of it.
Who should play
LeoVegas suits UK players who want a large slot lobby, a decent live section and no-wagering free spins, and who will use deposit limits and reality checks from day one. It is a worse choice for anyone chasing the best raw value, since the average terms are fair but not special. Players who want live poker, big sportsbook promotions or crypto should look at other brands.
