Stake offers thousands of games, in-house originals and fast crypto cashouts. The price of that speed is a Curaçao licence, patchy country rules and a long list of legal disputes.
Score 6.6 out of 106.6/10
Best forExperienced crypto users outside restricted countries who accept offshore risk
Stake is easy to describe and hard to rate. As a product, it is the most polished crypto casino we looked at. As a business, it asks you to trust an offshore licence and a company with an unusually crowded legal file. Both halves belong in the same review.
Gambling carries a built-in house edge. Crypto adds price risk on top, so treat anything you deposit as money you can lose.
What the product actually is
The homepage calls Stake the "World's Largest Online Casino and Sportsbook". We cannot audit that, but one third-party review counts more than 5,000 games from over 100 studios. The casino lobby groups them as Stake Originals and Slots, with sportsbook and live tables alongside.
The originals are the real draw. These in-house games include Plinko, Crash, Mines and Dice. They are simple, fast and carry a house edge set by Stake, which the third-party review we read says is not disclosed on its page. Check the game's own information panel before you stake anything.

Provably fair, and what that does not prove
Stake publishes a Provably Fair explanation: you receive a hashed server seed, add your own client seed, and can verify afterwards that the outcome was not altered. That is a genuine strength for the originals. It proves a round was not tampered with. It does not change the house edge, and it says nothing about whether a payout will be honoured.
Stake's Provably Fair overview explains how outcomes can be verified.
Crypto cashouts
One review lists twelve coins, among them BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT, USDC, SOL, DOGE, XRP and TRX, and reports test withdrawals of around six minutes for Bitcoin once approved. That speed is a feature of blockchain rails, not a promise by Stake. Verification is mandatory, and the first withdrawal is where delays tend to appear. Do the identity steps before you deposit.
The licence question
Stake's operator, Medium Rare N.V., is incorporated in Curaçao and holds a licence from the Curaçao Gaming Authority, according to Wikipedia and a third-party review that quotes the number OGL/2024/1451/0918. We could not verify that number against the register, so look it up yourself. A Curaçao licence offers lighter oversight than the UK Gambling Commission or a US state commission. If a dispute arises, you have little formal recourse.
Restrictions and a long legal file
Stake is not open to US or UK players. Beyond those, restricted-country lists differ from site to site, and one Canadian review says it is accessible everywhere except Ontario. Stake's own Terms of Service are the authority, so read them first. Using a VPN to get around a block can void your account and balance.
The Wikipedia entry records the history. The UK site closed in February 2025 when its UK licence partner, TGP Europe, agreed to shut the site following a Gambling Commission investigation. Sponsorships with Everton and Alfa Romeo, plus streamer deals, have drawn scrutiny, and talks with Chelsea ended in 2023 after fan opposition. In December 2025, the operator of the separate sweepstakes site Stake.us was named in a class action alleging its social casino concealed real-money gambling. Stake's representative called it "a nonsense claim", and in July 2026 a judge ruled that the dispute must go to arbitration. These are allegations and procedural rulings, not findings of wrongdoing, but they matter when you weigh the risk.
Stake US is a separate sweepstakes product with its own developer, Sweepsteaks Limited.
How we would approach an account
If you decide to proceed despite the risks, take it in small steps. Read the Terms of Service for your country first. Finish the identity checks before depositing. Start with a small deposit, withdraw a modest amount to confirm the route works, and only then consider more. Convert winnings to a stablecoin if price swings worry you, and keep records for tax, because rules for foreign-licensed winnings differ by country and you may owe tax.
Bonuses deserve the same caution. Reviews describe a large welcome match with a bonus code and a short activation window, plus rakeback and VIP reloads. Read the wagering terms before taking any of it, since a bonus that locks your balance can make a withdrawal harder than the cashier suggests.
Who should use it
Stake suits experienced crypto holders in permitted countries who understand wallets, volatility and offshore risk, and who set a hard deposit limit. It does not suit beginners, anyone who needs consumer protection of a regulated market, or anyone tempted to chase losses. The responsible gambling page offers limits and tips, and you can self-exclude.

Verdict
The score reflects an excellent product on a weak foundation. Game variety, provably fair originals and fast crypto payouts earn credit. The Curaçao licence, patchy rules and litigation take most of it back. Our advice is simple: if the regulator behind your casino matters to you, choose a licensed alternative.

Our verdict
Stake is the biggest crypto casino and the product is polished, with thousands of games, provably fair originals and quick crypto withdrawals once verified. It runs on a Curaçao licence, so there is no state or UK regulator to appeal to, and the company faces several lawsuits and a UK exit. Use only what you can afford to lose.
