ToonieBet Review: Is the Newer Ontario Casino Worth Switching To? | Reelaudit
ToonieBet review: a big Ontario lobby and live tables, with a cashier that is only average
ToonieBet launched in Ontario in April 2024 with 3,000+ games and a strong live casino. We weigh the lobby against five-day card withdrawals and the high wagering on its welcome offer.

Best forOntario players who want a big lobby and live tables as a second account
Ontario's regulated market has about fifty licensed operators, and most players already have an account with one or two of them. ToonieBet, which arrived in April 2024, has to give you a reason to open another. Its reason is size and style: a lobby bigger than most of the established names, wrapped in a Canadian theme.
A fair warning on how we worked. ToonieBet's own website blocked our automated browser with an access error on every attempt, so we could not read its bonus terms or cashier pages directly, and we did not place a deposit. Everything below comes from the App Store listing, the Apple data feed and three independent Ontario review sites, and where they disagree we say so. Gambling is entertainment with a built-in house edge, and no new site changes that.
Count the games and the sources give you a spread, which tells you the catalogue changes often. Gambling.com puts it at 2,900+ games from 35+ providers. Casinos.com counts 3,400+ games, including 2,500+ slots, 650+ jackpot titles and 180+ live games. The App Store text talks about more than 5,000 games with a sportsbook, though that figure may include sports and non-Ontario content.
The table side is thin by comparison: Casinos.com lists 57 table games, split into 15 blackjack, 18 roulette, 8 baccarat and dice, and 4 poker and video poker titles. The live section is the stronger one, heavy on Evolution, with a Gold Saloon branded set of tables. One practical gripe: RNG table games are not filtered, so you search by name.
Cashier: e-wallets are the quick route
This is the part where new brands usually stumble, and ToonieBet is average rather than special. Both review sites say Visa and Mastercard withdrawals can take up to five days, while e-wallets are faster. Casinos.com gives an average withdrawal time of 1 to 5 days, and Gambling.com lists "withdrawal processing may take up to 5 days" among its cons.
Limits are low at the entrance. Casinos.com reports a $10 minimum on Interac and MuchBetter, and $20 on Visa, Mastercard and Skrill, for both deposits and withdrawals. A welcome offer can carry a higher qualifying deposit, so check the cashier before you pay in.
Gambling.com's review page. It also lists Interac, e-wallets and a mandatory identity check at sign-up.
Registration requires you to be 19 or older and to pass a KYC check. Casinos.com notes the instant check may be frustrating for some players, which in practice means upload your ID early and do not leave it until you win.
Bonuses: read before you accept
Gambling.com's list of cons names high wagering requirements on the welcome offer. We could not retrieve the current numbers from the operator, so we are not going to quote a multiplier we have not seen. The general rule we apply to every offer applies here: a bonus with a playthrough requirement multiplies the money you must stake before anything is withdrawable, and every spin carries the house edge. If the terms are unclear, decline the bonus and play with your own cash.
There is also a loyalty ladder with coins earned from real-money play and challenges, and Casinos.com says it brings cashback and higher withdrawal limits. We view tiered rewards cautiously: they pay out in proportion to what you lose.
The app
ToonieBet has a native app, and reviewers are warmer about it than about the website. Apple lists it as ToonieBet Ontario: Live Casino, age rating 18+, by Canadix Limited, with an average of about 4.4 stars from roughly 2,800 ratings in Canada at the time we checked. Casino.org's reviewer calls it highly rated.
The Canadian App Store listing. About 4.4 stars from 2,836 ratings when we pulled it.
Casino.org's write-up headline sums up the site's reputation: a new site making waves in Ontario.

Should you switch?
Not a full switch. ToonieBet is a good second account if you want the larger library, the live tables and the Canadian look, and it has a regulated licence behind it, which matters more than anything on this page. It is not obviously faster to pay than the incumbents, the bonus is a place to be careful, and we could not verify the operator's own terms.
Open it if game choice and live tables are your priority and you will use Interac or an e-wallet.
Stay put if you value a proven cashier record or you hold a status tier elsewhere.
Skip it if you plan to take the welcome bonus without reading the playthrough terms.

Our verdict
ToonieBet is a well-stocked Ontario casino with a large live section and a well-rated app, but its cashier is ordinary and reviewers flag high wagering on the welcome bonus. A sound second account for variety; not a reason to leave an operator you trust. We could not read its own terms.
